QR Code Generator FAQ

How do I create a QR code?

Choose the QR code type, enter your content and the preview updates instantly. You can create QR codes for website links, plain text, Wi-Fi networks, email addresses, phone numbers and SMS messages. When the QR code looks right, click Download PNG to save the image and use it on a poster, label, website, document or printed material.

Can I make a QR code for a website link?

Yes. Choose Website URL and paste the link you want people to open. When someone scans the QR code with a phone camera, the device can open that website address. For best results, use the full link including https:// so scanners understand it as a website URL.

Can I create a Wi-Fi QR code?

Yes. Choose Wi-Fi network , enter the network name, password and security type. Many phones can scan the QR code and offer to connect to the Wi-Fi network automatically. Check the network name carefully. Wi-Fi QR codes need the exact SSID and password to work correctly.

Does this QR code generator store my data?

No. The QR code is generated locally in your browser. The content you type is not sent to our server, saved in a database or included in analytics events. If your QR code contains private Wi-Fi details or internal business information, still be careful where you print, upload or share the final QR image.

What can I put inside a QR code?

A QR code can contain many kinds of text-based information, including URLs, plain text, contact details, email links, phone numbers, SMS messages and Wi-Fi login details. Very long text can make the QR code more complex. A shorter link or shorter message is usually easier to scan.

Why is my QR code hard to scan?

QR codes can be hard to scan if they are printed too small, stretched, blurred, low contrast or surrounded by too little white space. Use a clear dark QR code on a light background, keep the square shape, leave white space around it and test it with a phone camera before using it publicly.
